Monday Mending
My son's fafourite hat continues to deteriorate.
Soon there will be nothing left of the original fabric, but the star hahahahha
This is my son's favourite ball cap.🧢
It was given to him by a dear friend of my family a view years ago.❤
She brought it back for him from Dallas and it just made his day that she thought of him.
He wears it every day. He has worn hats every day since he was 4. It all started with an old Ranger hat I bought him.
Since all our outside clothes get tossed in the washer right after getting home, this cap gets more time in the washer as well.
It started to disintegrate.
Sewing on ball caps is not easy.
it took me seven yoga moves and I am pretty sure at one point I was upside down.
But I did it.
I lined the inside of the back with fabric and then did running stitches over it. I have to add new stitches every time it comes out of the wash these days lol.
I think my son is happy with the fix and that he can wear his beloved cap a while longer.
