Tiny stockings



I promised I would be back this weekend with the pattern for these tiny stocking, alas, I accidentally scheduled the post wrong! So sorry.

Well.

I fixed it and here goes.


You will need:

✅ A few yards of leftover sock yarn.

✅ A set of 5 double pointed needles

✅ A yarn needle to sew in ends and

✅ A sewing needle to attach the hanging loop.

✅ Decorations are optional.


Abbreviations:

Co = cast on

K =knit stitch/es

P = purl stitch/es

Sl = slip stitch/es

Dec = decrease by working an ssk

Ssk: slip next 2stitches as if to knit, knit both slipped stitches together through back loop



Co 27 stitches (7, 7, 7, 6 stitches on each dpn)

Round 1: k1, p1 around

Round 2: p1, k1 around

Round 3: k1, p1 around


Round 4-17: k all stitches around

Short row heel is worked back and forth over the next 14 stitches as follows:

K13, wrap last stitch, turn,

P12, wrap last stitch, turn,

K 11, wrap last stitch, turn,

P10, wrap last stitch, turn,

K9, wrap last stitch, turn,

P8, wrap last stitch, turn,

K7, wrap last stitch, turn,

P6, wrap last stitch, turn,

K5, wrap last stitch, turn,

P4, wrap last stitch, turn,

K4, knit next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn,

P5, purl next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn,

K6, knit next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn,

P7, purl next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn

K8, knit next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn,

P9, purl next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn

K10, knit next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn,

P11, purl next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn

K12, knit next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn,

P13, purl next stitch together with wrap, wrap next stitch, turn.

From here on out you will work in rounds again.


Rounds 18-29: k all stitches (12 rounds)


Toe:

Round 1: (Ssk, k5) x3, ssk, k4, (23 st)

Round 2: (ssk, k4)x3, ssk, k3, (19 st)

Round 3: (ssk, k3)x3, ssk, k2 (15 st)

Continue as established until you have 7 stitches total left.

Cut yarn, thread through all live stitches and cinch.


Finishing:

Thread tail end to inside and sew in end. Sew hanging loop to top of stocking (or crochet loop to top) and sew on any decoration you would like. Usually there is no blocking required.
