Remember when I started this thing? I finally had enough clippings again to add another inch.
Initially I just idly tied together ends I had left after finishing a pin loom woven square for my scrap blanket. It turned into quite a ball of yarn after a while and I figured, why not use it?
I had no idea what it would be. If it would be anything, or if there even would be an end to it. I was sure it would evolve as I went along. Now I am pretty sure it wants to be a blanket. I am also sure it will be raffled off in the end and the proceeds will be donated to an organisation yet to be determined.
For now I am enjoying the journey.
It has quite grown in size! The sides measure now 26 inches (66cm). All from scraps that would normally go in the trash, or the compost bin (depending on fibrecontent)
A good 2 inches were donated by Punky's closet! Thanks for supporting my weird ideas, my friend!😘
I am only using bits of yarn that would usually end up in the trash after sewing in ends, or when projects leave you only with tiny scraps left. Anything 5 inches and up go in here. Basically it is a scraps of scraps project. 😊
If you want to donate your clippings, I would be ever so grateful. Anything 5 inches and up will work. Right now this one only uses yarn up to a light worsted weight. I might make another one, if this works out. We will see.
Please dm me so we can set something up. ❤😘
