Zero waste notebooks āœšŸ“’

I love reusing every scrap of paper that comes into the house.

My daughter brought me a few feed sacks from her farm and one organic flour sack as well. I finally got round to cutting the last few up and making new notebooks.

I love them to bits tbh.šŸ„°

Yes, some pages have printing on them, but one can gesso over that, or simply write around it. Or use a sharpie to write over it.

These notebooks are meant for everyday use. Write your shopping lists, a quick note to someone and tear out the page. They are meant to be very ephemeral and temporary. Just a stage in the life of this particular piece of paper.

Use them up, cut them up, make something else out of it. Once they are full, you can cut the binding, toss the stick in your compost pile and use the pages to make paper clay, or a fire starter, or a paper airplane, or line a flower pot/bed with it , or, or....

These little notebooks are so much fun to use. They are not meant to end up in a landfill.

Give them as gifts, to start your friends off on zero waste. Keep them for yourself and see what cool uses you can come up with after they have served their second purpose as a notebook.

True junk journals. Never meant to survive.

If there is any interest, I might make a tutorial on how I put these together. Let me know! ā¤

I think I will pop a few over into the shop, because not everybody has time to make their own.
