I haven't done any Tunisian crochet in quite a while. Then I got to know Stephanie from "This creative life" (also on wix, still figuring out how to tag people here), who does A LOT of fantastic stuff in Tunisian crochet (she also has some great patterns out and is looking for testers!)
I have found myself thinking about it a bit more recently.
Add to that, my recent purchase of a LOT of bamboo yarn a few months ago. Initially I was going to knit a summer jacket for myself, but I really rather want a big blanket shawl. A few swatches later and nothing struck my fancy. So I gave tunisian crochet a shot and lo and behold... I love the way it is coming out in the bamboo.
Now where did I put that big tunisian hook? Goshdarnit.
Nowhere to be found. But I ran across an old circular needle I no longer use. It even was the right size....
Out comes the dremel and presto!
Cable tunisian hook!
If you have an old bamboo circular you can easily carve your own hook into one of the needles. I glued a big wooden bead to the other end to keep the stitches from falling.
It works like a charm! 🧶
I love how innovative you are! Also, thanks for the mention ❤️❤️❤️
